My name is Latisha Keeffe, and I love working at Vernon Elementary School! I am a Vernon native and attended VES as a 6th grader in Ms. Cooper's class. My passion is working to make all students authentically included in the school environment and active/engaged participants in their learning.

I have a beautiful, smart, and sassy German Shepherd named Grace.

I was married in June 2019. Before that I was known as Ms. Akley (I still have some student hold outs to my name change)

I have my master’s degree, through Ball State University, in Elementary and Middle School Mathematics.

I am married to Cory Keeffe who is an Arborist/Forester and has a strong passion for tree identification, identifying dying/dead trees, and teaching others all he knows about trees.

Mr. Keeffe and I enjoy reading, festivals, concerts, traveling, all obscure board games, animals, and hikes with our Graciebear.

I LOVE learning and am currently looking for my next certificate program (probably Special Education Administration).
